A Level 2 charger turns an overnight plug-in into a full battery by morning. We install residential EV charging cleanly and to code — and we're brand-neutral about it. If you already bought a charger, we can install it when it's appropriate for your setup. If you'd rather we supply one, we can do that too. Either way, we start by looking at what your electrical system can actually support, instead of assuming you need a big upgrade.

The honest answer
Not automatically. That's the myth that costs people money. Whether you need any electrical upgrade depends on your existing service, its available capacity, your panel's condition and space, and how fast you want to charge — not on the simple fact that you're adding a charger.
A few clear photos of your panel and the breakers inside help us make an initial assessment — your service size, the panel manufacturer, general condition, available circuit spaces, and your existing major loads — and whether a lack of breaker space might be solved without replacing the whole service. Where the available capacity is uncertain, we evaluate it properly before any installation rather than guessing. If it turns out you do need more capacity, we'll link you straight to how panel and service upgrades work and explain exactly why. If you don't, we'll tell you that.

If capacity or space is tight
If your panel is full or your service is stretched, there's usually more than one way to solve it. We'll walk you through the tradeoffs so you can decide what matters most — faster charging, lower install cost, room for the future, or some mix.
If you want higher-powered charging and your service genuinely can't support it, an appropriate upgrade gives you the capacity — and leaves room for future electrical additions too.
If your service capacity is fine and the equipment's in good shape but you're just out of breaker space, added circuit space or a subpanel may solve it without replacing the whole service.
Where it's technically appropriate, load-management equipment can be another way to add a charger without a bigger upgrade.
A lower-power setup can reduce the electrical work and cost, or avoid an otherwise unnecessary upgrade. The tradeoff is longer charging time — how much longer depends on your vehicle, battery, and charging power.

Before you buy a charger
Here's the mistake we see: buying a charger before anyone's looked at whether your home can support the charging level you want. Sometimes it can, easily. Sometimes it needs more capacity first. Either way, it's better to know before the box is open.

Getting a price
For most EV installs we can give you a free rough estimate right over the phone when you send enough clear information. Helpful things to gather:
Whether you already own a charger, the model and specs if you do, and your vehicle if it's relevant.
Good photos of your electrical panel and the breakers inside it.
Your proposed charger location, and photos showing the likely route from the panel.
Approximate distance from the panel to where the charger will mount.
If you can't get clear measurements, the photos aren't enough to tell, the conditions aren't clear, or you'd just rather have someone come look — we'll do a free in-person estimate instead. A rough estimate is a starting point, not a final number — site conditions and anything we discover can change the scope, so you always get a real proposal that sets the actual price before any work starts.
Start to finish
A normal EV charger installation is generally a one-day job. Here's how the day runs:
We check in with you, confirm the charger location and access, and go over the installation route. We just ask that pets and family stay clear of the active work area.
We install the properly sized breaker and circuit — conductors, conduit where it's needed, fittings, and any required disconnect equipment — for your specific installation.
We mount your charger and make the connection. Our standard supplied charger is hardwired; for a charger you supply, hardwired versus plug-in depends on that equipment and the installation.
We label the breaker and circuit, inspect the finished work, and test the installation. If your vehicle's there, we connect it and confirm it's charging; if not, we verify the correct electrical output and voltage.
We clean the work area and walk you through the finished installation before we go.
Will my power be off all day? No — a straightforward EV branch-circuit install doesn't mean your whole house sits without power for the day. If any part of the work does require a brief interruption, we'll explain what's needed and why. Safety requirements always come first.
A fair answer
It depends — and anyone who gives you a flat "four hours" is guessing. Real charging time comes down to your vehicle and its onboard charging capability, the charger itself, the available circuit power, your battery size, and how low it started. As a rule of thumb, more available charging power means shorter charging times, while a lower-power setup takes longer but can reduce the electrical work and cost. We'll lay out the options so you can weigh speed against cost for your situation.
Don't leave money on the table
Depending on your utility and eligibility, EV charging rebates or incentives may be available. Xcel Energy in Colorado currently runs home-charging programs, but terms and amounts change, so we point you toward the current official program information rather than quoting a figure that might be out of date. We'll provide the documentation from our work that you may need, and if the paperwork gets confusing, we'll help walk you through it.

After the job
We back our installation work — and the materials we supply and install — with a one-year warranty. If something goes wrong because of our work or a covered material we supplied, we schedule warranty service and correct it at no charge.
If you supplied your own charger and the charger itself fails, that's covered by its manufacturer or seller warranty — we can remove and reinstall replacement equipment, and that removal and reinstallation is billable unless the failure was caused by our own covered work. We don't warranty equipment we didn't supply, but our electrical installation stays covered either way.
